About Us
At Happy Feet, we like to follow a creative curriculum based on the children’s developing interests and curiosity. Our days begin by greeting our friends, practicing our names, and offering free invitations to play for the children to explore at their own free will. After that, we begin our circle time, where we share books, songs, stories and little games to get our minds flowing in the right direction. Next we begin our educational art activity. Once this is over, we head outdoors (weather permitting) to feel the fresh air and play in the sunshine, while working on our gross and fine motor skills in plenty of entertaining ways: playground, sandbox, swings, running, jumping, the possibilities are endless! Which brings us back to food and nurturing our minds and bodies: time to recharge with a healthy snack. Our meal times are just as important as the rest of our day. We talk about the foods we eat, where they come from, how they taste, as well as encourage our little chefs to help with some of the food prep to promote healthy eating habits right from the start. Potty training is also a big deal here at Happy Feet. We have designated potty times a few times a day, so that our little friends will not forget to go when their little minds are so busy at play. Back inside the classroom, we take turns exploring science, art, literacy, and Math. Yoga is always a fun way to mix things up a little bit throughout the day and helps regulate our bodies, minds, and feelings. All in all, here at Happy Feet, we want your child to feel loved, nurtured and excited about learning and exploring the world around them.
